One of my favorite projects at INFORMS is the honor of directing our annual Edelman Gala. Six teams from all over the world compete in the “Super Bowl of Analytics” with work that is saving lives, saving money, and solving problems. This elegant event aims to Recognize Distinction in Applications of Analytics, Operations Research, and the Management Sciences. During the event, the Daniel H. Wagner prize is highlighted, the UPS George D. Smith and INFORMS prizes are awarded, along with the announcement of the first place Edelman winner.
