If asked to define “Mary Leszczynski” style, what would I say?

  • A strong grid, adherence to the rules, and creations of systems, but the knowledge of when and why to throw that out the window.
  • I have a simple, clean, and modern style that is thoroughly researched and infused with meaning.
  • I appreciate attention to small details.
  • When faced with “lazy” design, I’m disappointed by the what could have been.
  • The first pass is usually not never the best solution.
  • The realization that 98% of what I do ends up in the trashcan.
  • The best design advice I ever received was, “It’s good, but you can do much better.”
  • Understand the audience you are designing for, then push past that to make them slightly uncomfortable.
